Mild Steel grade we use

MS (Mild Steel) precision parts manufacturing grades commonly include IS 2062, EN8, and EN9, which are standard Indian and European designations for mild steel. The specific grade used depends on the application’s requirements for strength, durability, and machinability, with other grades like CRCA also being an option.

  • Common grades for MS precision parts
  • IS 2062: A standard Indian designation for structural steel, often used in heavy-duty applications.
  • EN8: A medium-carbon steel that offers good strength and wear resistance, frequently used for shafts, gears, and other high-load components.
  • EN9: A higher-carbon steel than EN8, providing greater hardness and strength, suitable for applications like machine tool parts and hardened pins.
  • CRCA (Cold Rolled, Cold Annealed): A type of steel that offers good surface finish and dimensional accuracy, used for parts where appearance and tight tolerances are critical.

Free Cutting MS: A specific grade that contains elements like sulfur or lead, making it easier to machine into complex shapes with high precision.
